Houston Teeth Whitening & Bleaching Transforms Your Smile

Houston Teeth Whitening Advancements Give You That Beautiful White Smile!

Everyone wants a blazing white smile and at New Teeth Dental Solutions, we understand. A bright, white smile is a sign of good dental health and it’s also attractive.

The first thing people usually notice when meeting someone is their eyes. After a firm handshake and conversation, the next thing people will take note of is a person's smile. Many individuals who know that their smile could use some work will often refrain from laughing or put their hands over their mouth.

"I hope she didn't notice my crooked teeth," a person's conscience might whisper. Or, "If I'd only gotten them whitened!"

Jay Elliott, D.D.S., uses a keen sense of artistry and the newest techniques of cosmetic dental enhancement. Dr. Elliott may be able to treat even the most unattractive and severely damaged teeth.

Surprisingly, the typical patient who undergoes teeth whitening is not the movie star type, or the C.E.O. of a million dollar corporation. It is more likely to be someone who lives by or works with you, and is remedying a dental problem that is quite common.

"Many people desire a better-looking smile," says Dr. Elliott. "Most are surprised to find out how a few simple procedures can enhance their appearance."

For those whose teeth are in the proper position, but have lost their luster due to years of use, bleaching is a fast, safe option to get back the gleam. Teeth whitening can give you a whiter, brighter smile.

"Teeth discolor rather easily,” explains Dr. Elliott. "Of course, coffee, cigarettes, certain medications and foods can stain teeth and accelerate the discoloration process, but age also plays an integral role in the process. As people age, the outer layer of the teeth tends to discolor – taking on yellow, gray, or brown hues. Although discoloration is a part of the natural aging process, no one said you have to like it – or accept it. So, we fix it.”

"A healthy white smile is so important," added Dr. Elliott. "It's one of the first things people notice, and a great smile can open doors – both professionally and personally. Teeth whitening can make a difference in how you look, how you feel about yourself and how other people perceive you. Whether we like it or not, we all know that first impressions do count – a lot. After our new whitening treatment, you can smile with confidence."

We are proud to offer advanced teeth whitening services for patients who feel the need. Dr. Elliott and his partners, Brad Jetton, D.D.S., and Kalli Elliott Hale, D.D.S, use Venus White Ultra products to give patients the brightest smile possible. There’s more to the process than just a request for the whitening services though, and things that patients should be aware of.

The process starts with a cleaning and assessment of your teeth. It’s not always possible to predict just how whitening will affect any specific patient, and we want patients to understand what happens to the surrounding teeth, particularly when there are porcelain crowns, veneers or direct bonding to also consider. In particular, those types of dentition don’t whiten with in-office bleaching and may need to be replaced. Some patients may experience sensitivity following an in-office whitening procedure, but that sensitivity is usually temporary. We suggest that for at least 48 hours following in-office whitening procedures, patients avoid consumption of dark staining substances like colas, coffee, grape juice and tobacco.

Not all patients are good candidates for teeth whitening services with Venus White Ultra, and our team will not perform the procedure if we feel you cannot get optimum results.

Dr. Elliott uses the latest techniques and materials to provide whitening in a convenient manner with quick results. Several ways exist to brighten smiles, but Dr. Elliott prefers the "chairside” bleaching technique coupled with take-home trays. It incorporates state-of-the-art technology and careful supervision. The chairside treatment has an immediate whitening effect that is evident before the patient leaves the dental office. After that, a patient can bleach them once every month and their teeth will remain as bright as they were during the initial treatment.

You have worked hard to become the successful person you are today. You get a new dress or suit, new shoes and new hairstyle, but what about your smile?

Isn’t it time to create the bright, beautiful smile to make you look and feel good? It does wonders to make you feel more attractive, youthful and confident. Dr. Elliott has helped thousands of patients enhance their smiles. Many have said, "I don’t know why I waited so long to do this.”

FAQs about Teeth Whitening

What are my options for teeth whitening?
We offer at-home whitening, we will take molds of your teeth and supply you with custom molds as well as professional grade whitening solution. Simply apply a thin layer of gel to the trays and wear them as directed each day. Most patients notice a difference in 10 to 14 days, and the full impact will appear at the end of the whitening time period.

Does teeth whitening work?
Professional teeth whitening can safely and effectively remove surface stains and renew your smile. Our cosmetic teeth whitening can lighten your teeth 10 to 12 shades in no time. Good oral hygiene, regular dental visits, and avoidance of products that stain will keep your smile looking fantastic.

What is the difference between professional teeth whitening and the kits I can buy from the drug store?
Drug store whitening kits don't have the strength that professional grade whitening provides, so many times, patients won't achieve the results they desire. As well, these whitening kits often irritate gums and soft tissue because they aren't customized to fit your mouth.

What if cosmetic teeth whitening won't work?
In some cases, especially where deep intrinsic stains exist, teeth whitening may not be the best option. We will review your case and can recommend other alternatives, like porcelain veneers or cosmetic crowns, if teeth whitening doesn't fit your situation.

Is teeth whitening safe?
Many dentists in Houston consider teeth bleaching to be the safest cosmetic dentistry procedure available today. With careful supervision, you can lighten your teeth up to 10 shades and take years off your appearance.

What about side effects of teeth whitening?
Some patients may develop mild sensitivity after whitening. Time and toothpaste that alleviates this sensation will help minimize any discomfort you might feel.
